Callus Protectors are self-adhesive u-shaped felt pads that alleviates areas of pressure and friction, providing pain relief to the ball of foot, back of heel of the foot, any boney prominence/ pressure area on the foot and preventing pain and callus build-up. Adhesive-backed and can be used to offload any sore spot and boney prominence on the foot. by DrJillsFootPads

WARNINGS

If you have diabetes, neuropathy(numbness, tingling of feet) or poor circulation, consult your doctor before use. If numbness, discoloration, irritation or additional pain occur, discontinue use immediately. Non-sterile. Do not apply over broken or inflamed skin or wound. Remove pad at bed time to allow skin to breathe. Remove pad if it gets wet. If symptoms persist, visit a foot specialist. Keep out of reach of pets and children .

Usage Instructions

Wash and dry affected area. Peel protector from adhesive backing. Position “U” opening over callus, sore area, or boney prominence to remove pressure. If needed, scissor-trim for a better fit. If callus or area is larger than opening, cut pad in half and position on either side of sensitive spot or cut the “U”portion deeper or wider. Protectors can also be adhered to inside of footwear if desired. Do not to leave adhesive on skin for more than a day or two.

Q:How is this pad different than a non-medicated callus pad in a drug store?
A: It is made of a denser but soft felt material that is much better at redistributing pressure off/ offloading a sore spot or callus.

Q: How do I apply this on my insole or orthotic to take pressure off my callus?
A: Please check out my You Tube episode on exactly how to do this.

Q:Can the pad be trimmed?
A: Yes the U can be made deeper and wider to accommodate bigger lesions to offload better.

Q: How long can you wear the pad?
A: It is not recommended to wear longer than a day and typically I tell my patients to remove before bed. The adhesive can irritate the skin and cause maceration.

Q: How can this pad be used?
A: They can be applied to the foot to offload sore spots, arthritic knots, offload a prominent posterior heel spur in the back of the heel either directly on the heel or on the heel counter of the shoe, around bunions and tailor's bunions, on orthotics to offload calluses.

Q: If applying the pad to a insole or orthotic to offload or take pressure off a callus , how long will the pad last?
A: It can last up to a month. If any twinges of pain felt that is the time to replace it. If more offloading is needed, 2 pads can be used on top of each other on the insole
