Q1) Will a gel crest pad feel bulky in tight shoes?
Short answer: It can. Gel adds lift and thickness under the toe tips, reducing toe-box space especially in ladies' dress shoes.
The suede- fabric (thinner) crest pad may be a better choice and choose roomier footwear for the gel crest pad.
Q2) My adjustable crest pad rubs/slips. What am I doing wrong?
Likely loop tension or placement. The loop should be snug but not tight and should be at the base of the toe past the knuckle.
The pad sits just under the toe tips to lift and straighten. Refit while standing .

I'm a retired physician and unfortunately got very severe metatarsalgia after increasing walking after hip replacement. I tried many different met pads and other products from Amazon , as well as seeing my local podiatrist who gave me some customer orthotics which did not help on any of my pain. 🙄 The only thing that helped me was Dr Gaffney's very thick and adjustable metatarsal pads.
