Adjustable Hammer Toe Splint

Foot pads and toe products are a good first step for many people, but some situations need an in-person exam first. Please see your podiatrist first if:

• You have diabetes, neuropathy (numbness or tingling) or poor circulation.
• There is an open sore, redness, swelling or warmth.
• The problem started after an injury, or it is severe or getting worse.
• It has not improved after 2 to 3 weeks of correct use.

Do not overtighten loop/ strap. Adjusting too tightly will prevent proper circulation.If you have diabetes for circulation or neuropathy (numbness, tingling of the feet) consult your physician before using. If numbness discoloration irritation and additional pain occurs discontinued use immediately. Do not to wear bed. Remove at least four hours during the day. Do not use over broken or inflamed skin. If symptoms persist visit a foot specialist. Keep out of reach of children and pets .

Q1) Will a gel crest pad feel bulky in tight shoes?
Short answer: It can. Gel adds lift and thickness under the toe tips, reducing toe-box space especially in ladies' dress shoes.
The suede- fabric (thinner) crest pad may be a better choice and choose roomier footwear for the gel crest pad.

Q2) My adjustable crest pad rubs/slips. What am I doing wrong?
Likely loop tension or placement. The loop should be snug but not tight and should be at the base of the toe past the knuckle.
The pad sits just under the toe tips to lift and straighten. Refit while standing .

With wide end pointing toward the big toe and flat side facing the floor position the cushion under the lesser toes. Slip strap over the 2nd 3rd or 4th toe. Pull loose end of the strap gently until cushion fits comfortably against the skin. Do not adjust the straps too tightly. When removing from the foot, and slide off splint carefully to prevent strap from slipping out of the slot.

Hand wash in warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly. Press against towel to remove excess moisture. Air dry completely before reuse.
